NYC Will Require Vaccination To Eat or Work in a Restaurant

Bridges around the country are about to be without their trolls because all the trolls will soon be commenting on this blog post. New York City has just announced that a proof of vaccination will soon be required in order to work at or go into a restaurant. “If you want to participate in our society fully, it’s time to get vaccinated,” Mayor Bill de Blasio said during a press conference. To that I say, “it’s about fucking time.” The vaccine will also be be needed to go into gyms or other indoor entertainment venues, but let’s focus on restaurants, shall we?

For months, restaurant workers have been diligently wearing masks while customers might wear one as they walk in and then rip it off their face as soon as they shove their asses into a booth complaining how uncomfortable they are to wear. Meanwhile, restaurant workers are wearing it for six or eight hours straight. I know there are plenty of people out there who feel like requiring a vaccination is against their civil liberties, but please sit your non-chickenpox-measles-polio-tetanus-having asses down. I also know there are people who think the libtards are trying to make it more difficult for non-vaccinated people to live their lives and you know what? It’s true and what goes around comes around. I’ve been wearing a mask since April 3, 2020. I got my first shot on February 5, 2021. I have done everything I can to try to get our world back to a piece of normal, but for the last three months I’ve been held hostage by a minority of the country who won’t go get a fucking shot. Let’s let those assholes experience some difficulty for a change. And before anyone tries to remind me that vaccinated people get Covid too, I already know that. The 125,682 “breakthrough” cases in 38 states represent less than .08 percent of the 164.2 million-plus people fully vaccinated since January. Those are pretty good odds. The same people who believe the odds are so high of dying from Covid even after the vaccine are the same ones who will spend half their paycheck on Mega Millions. Even South Carolina senator Lindsey fucking Graham who tested positive for Covid despite being vaccinated said the symptoms would be much worse if he hadn’t been vaccinated. If it wasn’t for the shot, he’d probably be intubated with a tube shoved down his throat and we all know how much he surely hates deep-throating “tubes.”

You wanna go to the fucking Olive Garden in Times Square? Get your shot. You want an Applebee’s Riblets Platter in Astoria? Go get your shot. If we are ever going to get this country back to a place even remotely to what it was in 2019, go get your shot. CDC Director Rochelle P. Walensky called this “a pandemic of the unvaccinated.” 94% of the people who are in the hospital with Covid right now are unvaccinated and most of them are laying there moaning about how they wish they would have gotten the vaccination. Oh, is that what you wish, Daryl? Well, too little too late, asshole.

I applaud Mayor di Blasio (although he’s universally hated here in NYC and we all can’t wait until we have a new mayor) for having the courage to make this decision. 70% of Americans have had one shot already. Why are we letting 30% of the country ruin it for everyone else? I don’t care who you voted for or why you don’t want to get the shot, I really don’t. But if you don’t want to get it, then it’s you who needs to alter your way of living, not me and not the 165 million other people who are already vaccinated. Get the shot or fuck right off.

The program in NYC, which will launch on August 16 and become more strictly enforced starting Sept. 13

(Yes, I know this post will make me lose followers. No, I do not care.)
