   I used to work at a place that served a huge brunch buffet every Sunday, as well as all Holidays. – I’m talking seafood station with all you can eat crablegs, shrimp, Salmon diplay, eggs benedict, breakfats and lunch items, a dessert station, etc, you get the picture. Worst. Shift. Ever. Mother’s Day was the worst. All the families were all full of hatred, like every other Holiday. The poor bastards that worked the night before had to set up tables and chafing dishes the night before, a huge job, and they may or may not be working the shift next day. They did this for $3.63 an hour. At 3 pm, we had to break it all down and put all that shit away, all the way across a huge retaurant. And people had that buffet tipping mentality- “Well, why should I tip 15% if I go get my own food?” Then there was the after church crowd, you were lucky to get tithed at 10%. One Easter Sunday morning, my housemate and I, who both worked there were getting ready for work, and I could not decide what to wear. He said-“Girl, wear fighti’n clothes.” Good advice.
